Meet our dedicated founder and associate educators

Lauren Starr - Founder

Our Story

I’m an early education advocate, former teacher + educational consultant, and JW mom of two. My mission is to provide a fun, hands-on, and effective learning community for Witness children and families. After receiving a dual major degree in Early Childhood Education and History from Hamilton College, I gained classroom teaching experience from teaching second grade at an elite private school in Connecticut. When my husband and I decided to pioneer together as a couple, I switched to working for an educational consulting company where I helped review and create curriculum materials. We ended up pioneering in Thailand for a year, where I experienced a new form of teaching….teaching English online. I consider myself a lifelong learner, and I am continually attending virtual conferences and studying the latest research to incorporate the best practices and ways to teach little minds. Starr Education was born from a need to help my own daughter start schooling in at the beginning of the pandemic. A lot of time and love has been poured into this program. I promise that if you decide to join our learning community, you and your child will feel that care and attention from me.
